My name is Bridget and I live in a lovely coastal town in Maine. My family lives simply, cooking on a wood burning cookstove for 10 month of the year and in the warmer weather I love using my wonderful "pulley" clothsline that is off our back deck. I pick fiddleheads in the spring, raspberries in the summer and can tomatoes in the fall and sit by the fire in the winter.

If I closed my eyes and squint a bit, this could be my home. There’s the table, just far enough away from the stove, so that it’s usual to get a chill while eating dinner. The calendar, marked with dentist appointments, notations of death and stove cleanings.

Ha! Ha! This couldn’t describe and represent our kitchen much better!  Right down to the calendar with deaths and stove cleanings.  Only divergence is that my winter parking place- my rocker-usurps their table spot which leaves ours twice as far away from the cookstove and we can get a chill at table if the outside temps are really cold.  Great find, Em.
